The
College Point Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps proudly protects
22,000 people living in an area of 2 square miles. We operate out of
our own headquarters and protect a commercial/residential area. Our
service is a private department whose members are on a volunteer status.
The
Corps was founded in 1941 by College Point residents who were concerned
about the availability of ambulance service to the community. We are
known as New York City's first volunteer ambulance squad and the second
oldest in New York State.
